The Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) were developed by an international group of institutional investors reflecting the increasing relevance of environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) issues to investment practices.

The Principles are a voluntary and aspirational set of global practices that aim to provide an internationally accepted framework to help investors integrate ESG issues into financial analysis, investment decision-making and ownership practices.

Henderson Rowe is a signatory to the UN Principles for Responsible Investment since June 2009. We believe that the implementation and realization of ESG principles into investment decision-making and practices are part of our fiduciary responsibilities to our clients and community.

We share the growing view among investment professionals that a commitment to incorporating ESG issues into the investment process can result in greater financial returns and enhanced investment performance over the long-term.

As a PRI signatory we have committed to the following:

  • We will incorporate ESG Issues into investment analysis and decision-making processes.
  • We will be active owners and incorporate ESG issues into our ownership policies and practices.
  • We will seek appropriate disclosure on ESG issues by the entities in which we invest.
  • We will promote acceptance and implementation of the Principles within the investment industry.
  • We will work together to enhance our effectiveness in implementing the Principles.
  • We will report on our activities and progress in implementing the Principles.
